First Mockup Monday in a long time! Starting to work on the Prokofiev Piano Concerto, movement 1. This video is inputting the Brass and Percussion, and general thoughts about inputting mockups as issues pop up. Hopefully, you find this helpful!
Continuing our Mockup Monday series! Prokofiev Piano Concerto, movement 1. This video is inputting the Woodwinds, and general thoughts about inputting mockups as issues pop up. Hopefully, you find this helpful!
In this week's episode, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, we are starting on the string parts. Things are starting to come together now and it's beginning to sound more and more like the piece. Some of the focus today will be on different ways of inputting the parts, some technical concerns as the piece evolves, and some musical decisions that have to be made with the limitations of the software.
In this week's episode, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, we are continuing the string parts. There is a lot of music to input, so we have called an audible and will be inputting string parts today (hopefully all remaining parts) and then next week will start the Piano solo!
In this week's episode, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, we are finally inputting the piano part! There is a ton of stuff here, so hopefully, we'll get through the whole thing today and be on to editing next week!
We are back after taking last week off for some personal vacation time. And in this week's episode, Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 3, we are finishing the piano part! That will be all of the parts performed, and (depending on how long that takes) we may go back and start editing today as well.
Note input is done! And we're onto editing this week. A crucial part of the mockup process, we'll be going through each family, section, and part to clean up the MIDI performance. Depending on the time, we may get into audio editing today as well, but I may save that for another time. What's a few extra weeks in the process anyway?
Onto audio editing and mixing today! It should (I think) be the final week for this Prokofiev piece. Stay tuned sometime this week for the premiere of the piece (so you don't have to sit through 4 hours of video to hear it). Then we can decide what the following mockup will be!
